Canon Makes Incremental Updates – The EOS 77D

Well… the incremental updates continue… with a new camera body! Fun!

EOS 77D

There is absolutely nothing revolutionary about the Canon EOS 77D… in fact there’s very little to say about it at all. All this camera really is, is a fresh model, that uses quality existing specifications, at a slightly different price point.

The EOS 77D sports a 24 megapixel APS-C sensor and utilizes Dual Pixel CMOS AF to improve auto focus performance. It also is WiFi, NFC, and Bluetooth capable (in other words buy our new Canon connectivity products).

Other than that, there’s not much different with the camera. Pretty standard Canon body, DIGIC 7 processor which is nothing you really care about anyway, and various minor improvements to how the camera handles focus in different situations.

The camera ships in April 2017 for a suggested price of $899 for the body only.
