I don’t know if you caught this, but today Trump refused to take responsibility for the raid that killed a service member a few weeks ago. He apparently is unaware of what the phrase “commander in chief” means.

“This was something that was, you know, just — they wanted to do,” Trump said. “ And they came to see me and they explained what they wanted to do, the generals, who are very respected.”

“And they lost Ryan,” Trump continued.

Owens is the first U.S. service member killed in the line of duty during Trump’s administration.

But you know what else happened today?

George W. Bush’s book of portraits was released.

The portraits in his book… are portraits of service members injured during his Presidency.

Do you know where the net proceeds from that book go?

To help the service members injured during his presidency.

I don’t know about you, but for me that’s a pretty striking contrast.
