The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 – A Pertinent Review

Huh…

As I recently mentioned, Venezuelans have been using The Hunger Games as a way to illustrate how the Venezuelan government is behaving…

CARACAS, Venezuela — Venezuelan cities cleaned up from a night of looting and fiery protests Wednesday as government offices closed their doors for the rest of the week in the face of a worsening energy crisis that is causing daily blackouts.

Caracas is being spared from the rolling blackouts and has not seen violent protests. Some Venezuelans complain that the country is starting to resemble the dystopian series “The Hunger Games,” in which districts suffer for the benefit of a heartless capital city.

So that’s interesting.

The Hunger Games may not have been the best movie series ever and Jennifer Lawrence sucks but The Hunger Games has done at least one thing for everybody and that’s provide a straightforward example of the abuse of power.

This has been a brief note on the illustrative abilities of art…
