Tigers on the Increase

India’s tiger population has increased by about 30%, from 2011 to 2014, according to India’s Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar.

Obviously this is great news for the tigers as well as the world at large.

India is home to about 70% of the world’s remaining tigers, with the largest population scattered across northern India across the geographical border of the Himalayas.
