Clint Eastwood’s Unforgiven

Clint Eastwood’s masterpiece of a western (sort of) is now available to stream for free on Amazon Prime!

For those of you who don’t know, Unforgiven is about an old gunslinger who takes on one last job to kill a man who violently assaulted a town “whore”. That old gunslinger is played by Clint Eastwood himself, with Morgan Freeman playing his friend Ned Logan, and Gene Hackman playing the antagonist Little Bill Daggett.

Not only did Clint Eastwood star in the movie, he also directed it. People thought it’d be the “revival” film for western movies (it premiered in 1996)… that didn’t exactly materialize. But so what.

The movie is great, the actors are better than the movie, and it has a deeper plot line than the western films of the 60’s and 70’s.

Unforgiven is definitely not safe for young children. There’s bloody violence, language, and a disturbing scene where the town “whore” previously mentioned gets assaulted.
