That’s not a joke.
Not knowing about or not paying attention to your food has very real costs. One third of all house fires in the U.S. are started by cooking.
People’s homes burn down, people die, because they simply didn’t know or pay attention.
That is exactly why cooking should be part of comprehensive arts education… Not a single year long absolute joke of a class where kids bake some cookies and watch asinine videos but full on education.
But I guess that’s asking too much of an education system that has teachers buy their own markers.
Gotta save that $1.98 so that the administrative staff can keep their $120,000 a year lifetime pension.
