While it’s only $5 that you’re saving, it is technically a good deal. That’s 20% off… so not too shabby. Unfortunately you don’t get any extra credits. I was hoping GameStop would offer some extra credits along with a $5 off promo to really sell these memberships.
But I guess that might be pushing it too far for GameStop’s profit margins. It’s not like GameStop is in the best of health and Pro membership already provides more in coupons than the cost of the membership.
What a store manager has reminded me of though is that with your $5 monthly coupon you can come in and basically get a Pokemon booster pack for free once a month every month. That math checks out, you could be getting 12 booster packs for free every year with a Pro membership. So it’s something to consider.
Anyway, saving money is saving money!
