More Companies Stop Advertising on Crybaby Breitbart

So it seems that three more companies, all German, have decided to prevent any of their ad money being spent on Breitbart advertisements…

Telecommunications giant Deutsche Telekom and BMW were among a handful of German companies that this week blocked their ads from appearing on U.S. right-wing news website Breitbart.

The move came after the companies learned that their ads were automatically appearing on the site when internet users in Germany clicked on breitbart.com.

REWE Group, one of Germany’s largest retail and tourism businesses, was one of the companies affected — saying it only learned through social media that its ads were appearing on the news site.

So add REWE Group, BMW, and Deutsche Telekom to the list of companies that have all now pulled their ads from Breitbart! Sad! I mean… fun!

Champions of free speech rejoice.

Breitbart is providing us with a perfect example of how speech and counter speech can lead to a better place for everybody.

Speech: (any number of articles on Breitbart that pissed the people below ↓ off)

Counter Speech: Sleeping Giants twitter campaigns for companies to stop advertising on Breitbart because of its shitty content.

Speech: Kellogg (and others) pulls ads from Breitbart.

Counter Speech: Breitbart writes hit pieces on Kellog.

Speech: BMW and others pull their ads too.

What comes next in that back and forth… I don’t know. Whether this will end with Breitbart being a crybaby and writing more hit pieces on the advertisers that just pulled their ads (like they did with Kellog) remains to be seen…

Anyways…
